The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, High Chief Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, has congratulated the good people of Osun State for witnessing the year 2026 in good health and peace.

In his New Year message, the Corps Commander expressed deep appreciation to the people of the state for their unwavering support and cooperation with the Osun Amotekun Corps throughout the previous year, noting that their partnership contributed significantly to the successes recorded in ensuring the safety and security of lives and property across the state.

He specially commended the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Asiwaju Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, for his tremendous and consistent support to the Corps. He also appreciated the invaluable backing of members of the State Executive Council, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, and all members of the State House of Assembly for their commitment to strengthening security architecture in the state.

High Chief Omoyele further saluted the Chairman of the Osun Amotekun Corps Board, AIG Wale Abbas (Rtd), the Field Commander, Dr. Capt. Olusoji Benedict Akanni, the entire management team, and all operatives of the Corps for their dedication, professionalism, and sacrifices that led to the achievements recorded in the past year.

The Corps Commander also expressed gratitude to members of the press for standing by the Corps and consistently projecting its activities and achievements to the public. He urged journalists to sustain their unflinching support in the new year.

He called on residents of Osun State to remain vigilant and to promptly provide useful information about criminal activities or suspicious movements within their communities to security agencies, assuring them that such information would be treated with utmost urgency and confidentiality.

Reaffirming the commitment of the Osun Amotekun Corps, High Chief Omoyele assured residents that the security of lives and property remains a top priority, stressing that the Corps will not relent in its efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.

He concluded by urging the people of the state to continue praying for sustained peace and tranquility in Osun State and for the safety, strength, and success of all security personnel as the state moves forward in the year 2026.
